Result UK team raises money to fund online car marketplace FinanceaCar

Resultants Mark Peatey and Nadim Saad, heading the Result UK office were recently featured in Techcrunch on their car rental place idea called FinanceaCar. A 2010 seedcamp winner, FinanceACar wants to move the buoyant car market online from the model you want to pick to the actual delivery of the car to your door step, just like books or fashion e-commerce today. FinanceaCar raised money today at an undisclosed valuation with the round led by Anthemis Group and angel investors like Dominic Collins (former Group Director of Autotrader.co.uk and currently CEO of Orange Digital) and Christoph Janz, who built one of Europe’s first price comparison websites (DealPilot.com, acquired by Shopping.com).

Result UK Team Launches FinanceAcar

While working with clients and engaged in business development, we at Result constantly prod at new business models and concepts. Now, the spirit has rubbed onto our team in the United Kingdom - Nadim Saad and Mark Peatey - who have been working in stealth mode on FinanceAcar

In summary, they want to change the way consumers shop for cars - by redirecting their average focus on owning an asset that depreciates 60% in 3 years, towards viewing a car as a commodity that you pay a monthly fee to have.

Car leasing is the solution and the benefits are that it is as much as 60% cheaper than a personal loan and, therefore, allows people to drive a better car. And on top of that FinanceAcar will offer you a new contract car every 3 years.

The current FinanceAcar alpha website aggregates and compares car finance products for more than 5,000 vehicles.
